Headaches & Migraines

Sometimes the pain is the final symptom, not the first problem.

Headaches and migraines can be life-changing.

For some people, they occur occasionally. For others, they interfere with work, family, sleep, and everyday life.

One of the most common questions we hear is:

"Why am I getting headaches?"

The answer is different for every patient.

The Head Is Not Isolated

The head functions together with the jaw, neck, muscles, tongue, airway, fascia, and nervous system.

When one part of this system is under strain, the rest of the body often adapts.

Those adaptations may continue for months or years before headaches develop.

Pain is often the point at which the body can no longer compensate as efficiently.

Our Evaluation

Not every headache originates from the same source.

Some patients have migraines. Others have tension-type headaches. Some have headaches influenced by jaw disorders, muscle overload, neck dysfunction, trauma, poor sleep, clenching, or several factors working together.

Our goal is not to assume.

Our goal is to understand what may be contributing to your headaches.

Our Approach

Whenever appropriate, we begin by reducing unnecessary strain throughout the head and neck.

As layers of compensation improve, the dominant sources of strain often become easier to identify.

Some patients benefit from manual head and neck decompression. Others require improved jaw support, better airway management during sleep, myofunctional therapy, orthodontic treatment, or collaboration with another healthcare professional.

Treatment is always individualized.

Our Goal

Our goal is not simply to make headaches less frequent.

Our goal is to help the head and neck function with less strain.

By understanding the factors contributing to your symptoms, we can develop a thoughtful, personalized plan that supports healthier long-term function.

Every headache has a story. Our job is to understand yours before recommending treatment.
