Trauma & Whiplash
The body remembers what it has adapted to.
The body has an incredible ability to heal after an injury.
Bones mend. Bruises fade. Tissues repair.
Yet even after healing has occurred, the body may continue using the same protective movement patterns it developed during the injury.
These adaptations often help in the beginning. Sometimes they remain long after they are no longer needed.
More Than the Original Injury
A fall, sports injury, car accident, or even a seemingly minor impact may influence how the head, neck, jaw, and surrounding muscles function.
Over time, these protective patterns may contribute to jaw pain, headaches, neck pain, limited movement, or muscle tension.
Sometimes symptoms begin immediately. Sometimes they appear months or even years later.
Looking Beyond the Injury
Not every symptom after trauma is caused by the original injury itself.
Sometimes the body's long-term compensations become the greater source of strain.
Our evaluation focuses on understanding how your body has adapted and whether those adaptations are still necessary.
Our Goal
The goal is not to erase the past.
The goal is to help your head and neck function with less unnecessary strain so you can move more comfortably and confidently again.
The injury may have healed. The body's adaptations may still need attention.
